Lali ho...

I'm not very well. I was feeling rough all last week, hot flushes, collapsing at work when my legs gave up on me, being sick, etc. Now it's hit me at full strength. Yesterday I could barely keep my eyes open for more than a few minutes at a time, there was no strength in my limbs at all, I was coughing and throwing up all day, my chest and head were agony, and I was running a temperature so bad I'm suprised I didn't set fire to my pillow. I still feel like I've been shot several times with a plasma cannon, but at least now I can walk for short distances and stay awake long enough to make a snack.

The thing is, I've obviously not called in to work to let them know. What with being pretty much unconcious all day yesterday (day off) and not waking up til after my shift was due to start today, so I've not had a chance. So did work call me to find out where I was? No, the decided to be pathetic and childish and call my dad instead. That number is strictly for emergencies. Anything like this is supposed to come through my mobile. Thankfull dad covered for me and said I'd told him to call in for me, but he forgot.

It doesn't change the fact that this is the second time they've gone behind my back. They treat me like I'm five and I've been misbehaving at school. I'm 23. There's no call to be talking to my dad whenever they don't get their own way. Secondly, they're part of the reason I'm so ill. I was collapsing on shop floor the other day, even the customers said I shouldn't be there. One even offered to take me to hospital. I wasn't allowed to leave because of some retarded rule in which in the absence of Wes or James (the managers) whoever's in charge (in this case, Tony the Cunt) has to call the regional manager to get permission to let us leave. And Tony outright refused. Forcing me to stay when I was clearly ill. Because of that I wasn't relaxing and recovering, ergo I just got worse. So much so that when I was finally cleared for departure I didn't even make it home. I collapsed again on the walk home and couldn't get back up, so I had to call my friend Amelia to pick me up.

I'm pretty sure their actions constitute some sort of legal problem, so what can I do about it? Short of looking for another job.

In other news,

- I find myself with an excess of money. See, my paycheck was much better than I expected. I've paid my bills for the next month, put the deposit down on my 3DS and put £100 aside towards it (if I do the same next month the system should be paid for in advance, then the March paycheck is the games budget), put aside enough money to make sure I'm well fed for the month, bought myself and my brother some new t-shirts and got a few random things, and I still have about £55 to fanny about with. I was thinking about getting myself another T-shirt, Dead Rising 2 and...uhhh....something else. So 1) is Dead Rising 2 worth £24? And has Otis learned to shut the fuck up? 'cause that was a major problem with the original. 2) Suggestions on other 360 games/dvd box sets/random crap?

- As is typical of my fortunes, I bought a box of a dozen Cadbury's Creme Eggs and now I'm too ill to eat them. Life blows

- I've been playing Legend of the Dragoon on my PSP (God bless custom firmware) but there's a minor problem with it. Every now and then the game will lock up after I use my Dragoon Magic. It's not usually a problem but the boss I'm on right now is made immeasurably easier with Dart's Explosion spell. Is there anything I can do to bypass this lock-up problem? A Popsload setting, etc?

Well, since I can now stay awake for more than a few minutes, I'm going to get the last gold medal I need to complete the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 100%, and maybe go buy Dead Rising 2. I could use some fresh air. I just need to avoid stressful situations for a few days. Ergo no work, no speaking to anyone I'm related to, etc.

Toodles.

A very poorly Blaze.
