Okay so I'm getting a new 3ds in about a hour, I won't update it, what firmware should it have to be in order to (get free games) < thats my main goal. and what will I need to do thanks

Well any firmware between 2.0 to 9.2 is good for pirating (or getting free games).

If you end up with 9.3- 10.3 though you can downgrade

9.3 to 10.3 requires a downgrade to play free games.

Anything 10.3 or below would be fine. You have to do more work of your between 9.3-10.3 though but the end result is the same.

We can't share where to download roms but an iso site might be able to help you.

Ohh. I that you wanted to know where roms are. I would recommend rxtools. If you want i can pm you a great how to so you can set it up. Also emunand is what you install games to.

We are not a site that hosts 3DS roms and ISOs. And we can't just directly point you to the site with 3DS roms in it. 5-sec google search for 3ds roms and you're bound to find the site(s) that we talk about. This site's too popular to be torn down by Nintendo and co! ;O;

No. If you get 10.3 or lower, you will only need to access browserhax (and optionally install menuhax (recommended for the future)) and if on 9.3-10.3, follow the downgrade tutorials very carefully until you are down to 9.2, then follow the 9.2 tutorials to set up a CFW for the N3DS.

Edit: I just remembered, that's if you CAN access the browser when you first buy it.

It all depends on firmware. Sky3ds works on all firmware. Cfws only work up to 9.2. How about you wait till you HAVE your 3ds and know your firmware before you start trying to pirate games

Get yourself a large sd card like 128gb. Format it to fat32(must).

And follow the first link (back to Gbatemp LoL) and that will teach you everything.

Once that's set up there is a better way to load cfw (a9lh) but that is much more in depth and I suggest you look into it before you take the plunge.
