Actually, the move from 5.00 to 5.02 was worth it imo. It fixes a bug about insufficiant space on MS even when there is enough and the system is more stable. Most 1.5 homebrew have been upgraded to support 5.x system software anyways and if you desperatly needed one working, you could use eLoader or use a pandora combo and boot to Test M33 and install LEDA.

Changelog of said bug please in the 5.00M33-6 to 5.02 GEN step? And yes unless you plan on using eboot exchange then you need to do those steps with Edecrypt.

5.02GEN is inferior to both 5.50 GEN-D Final and 5.00M33-6. Using the Test M33 option on 5.02 is just pointless when TC is already on M33, and would lose functionality ....And i was trying to ask earlier which specific homebrew was desired for that very reason. There's no guarantee it'd even work on Leda anyway.

(Oh wait...i see the bug...it's PSN game download related which means it has no actual effect on anything)

if all you are interested in is piracy then:
use Gen 5.5 D3
if you want to use some obscure homebrew that will only work on old firmwares then:
use m33

I don't buy the PSX games argument, if you play more than one or two you will need pops anyway on either firmware.

5.50 GEN-D2 seems the best, really. Works with PSP Lover, Fast Mod applies, can use Popsloader etc.
Just like good old 5.00m33-6.
