I´d choose the ban.
Make up is expensive, bad for the skin and environment as well as misleading.
If a man rents an expensive car to pose as rich even though he is not, many women would view a possible sexual encounter as rape. Yet for women, it is totally fine to wear fake eye lashes, a wig, lipstick etc. It is an optical illusion akin to men drawing muscles on their stomach or implanting fake muscles (or pretending to be rich).
The trend in the past decades has gone towards more fakery. I remember a female classmate in 1999 who removed her eyebrows and just drew them on instead. It was novel. Now it is common. Once it becomes common, it is difficult to tell whose eyebrows are naturally beautiful, whose cheeks are naturally red etc. Natural beauty loses out.
Perhaps you disagree with me: Make-up should be free for everyone. (equality)
Or you disagree with me and want equity: Only the financially needy or the less beautiful get it for free.
Don´t take the thread too seriously. I am suspended from the Ukraine thread.
