You have got to be kidding!!! Do you read the posts throughout this forum? It's chock-a-block full of people complaing about a $15 outlay for a flashcart or $10 bucks for a msd! I'm sure most (99%) wouldn't chip in a dime (although, no doubt, some would claim that they had donated).

IMHO - they're just cheapskates

Donating wouldn't really be a good idea since then people feel entitled to expect newer better things at their whim. (alright bad wording and http://normmatt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=327)

Sure I would donate.
It's cheaper than paying 40~50 euro for all the games I played

. Only originals I have are of really good games that come out in the EU, which isn't much if you compare to the USA...

I've thought more about this and, yeah I'd donate...just to ensure they stick around and keep providing updates/enhancements to their custom firmware

It's the only reason anyone would donate, all over a foolish notion.
I don't read anyone at any of the different flashcarts' websites asking how & where they can donate to show support. I'm not sure why anyone would start doing so for individuals, with no official position involving the ongoing support and supply of a product.
Why stop at custom firmware developers? Let's start donating to homebrewers, 'heads' of translation projects (whom without, we couldn't play various JAP only releases), hackers, people who create patches to enable games to be played, etc.

I think I've well and truly made my point on this subject. Although we live in tough economic times, 2cents well spent.
