I started uni 2 weeks ago and they gave each of us an Arduino nano kit to use for our lab practicals.
It's not for another week but I've already opened it up to fiddle with. I have the Arduino, a breadboard, an LED and a resistor, which I used to rig up a simple program that blinks pre-defined messages in morse code. I could take an extra step and have it accept any user input to convert to morse, though that would involve configuring it to take inputs from my Macbook's keyboard via USB.
What else should I do with this? I'm excited by the prospect of programming it to do whatever I want but in terms of anything creative I'm afraid I hit a drought.
PS. Definitely willing to buy extra parts/sensors if the idea is cool enough. They're not expensive anyway.
