Hello,

I am stuck with recreating icons for 3ds roms now. I can extract exefs en i can also extract the small and large icons out of it (both rgb565 icons in ym case). If I open both of those files i can see the icon in there, but it is all messed up. This is logical as it is encoded with some tiling. (http://3dbrew.org/wiki/SMDH)

now my question is: how can I create my own icon and tile it correctly?, does anybody have more information on that?

i know that 3ds explorer can see and save the files correcly with an .png header. But 3dsexplorer can't replace them correcly without screwing up the whole icon file.

thanks in advance!

Try CiTRUS to convert it. I haven't used it but it is listed on 3dbrew. Alternatively, you could do the rearranging of the 8x8 tiles by hand using the bad output as a guide for what to swap. Maybe someone will whip up a tool for this...

Those icons will be supported by Every File Exporer.

That'll do good for now until Gericom releases his tools which will be more complete.
