Yes but he's not directly referring to the forum. He's referring to gbatemp as a whole and saying this section. Gbatemp is referred to as forums or a forum system, while this section is a forum. If he said you missed the point of this forum, it'd work. But him saying you missed the point of this section OF THE forums (as in gbatemp as a whole).

Anyways, let's not get too off topic. I only mentioned that last part because I was bored :\
