Yea so i wanna remove CFW and could i just delete the homebrew files off the sd card or nah?
Usually not ideal for removing cfw, but, what makes you wanna do so?

Just remember a system format WILL NOT remove cfw. You would need to use https://3ds.hacks.guide/uninstall-cfw guide for that.

And. make sure you follow the safety checks or you will need to put cfw back on that console to make it work again.

If you see GodMode9 at start up, then something could be veeeeeerrryyyy wrong..
Either:
A) boot.firm on the SD is GM9 somehow, instead of Luma3DS (or another CFW)
B) Your start button is broken and seems to be reporting to the system that it's being held down.

To make sure this is just A and not B, go to https://github.com/LumaTeam/Luma3DS/releases and download the latest release.
Unzip it, then copy boot.firm to the root of your system's SD card. (If you get a prompt asking if you want to overwrite the file on the SD, select "yes".)

or perhaps it was set to auto boot the gm9 firm when they did whatever with setting up the cfw.

The worst is when its a dry poop, then you spend 20 minutes and ha!f a roll of TP wiping. Its like wiping TP over a magic marker, just won't stop showing.
