Hacking I think I’ve done a big mistake

So i started using my Xbox 360 with aurora not a long time ago and I think I made a big mistake.
I was playing COD AW and I’ve made a save on the hard drive and not the internal one because I didn’t know what I had to do with the free space.
And now the Xbox won’t load with the hard drive in.
Does someone know how to fix it?

Unplug the harddrive and then boot the console?
If it's a USB HDD, just plug it in after the dashboard boots, go to the MS dashboard and move the save file to your internal drive.
