My sd card is not working anymore, I bought another of 64GB, but I cannot dump the file because it is not in memory virtual, even boot11.bin is not there, do I need to fix my nand or something?
I need all this because I want to use it with custom install

Are you trying to just copy what you had on that sd card over to a new one? or is there some different console involved in this?

I am using fastboot, I could dumped it with fastboot, but the weird that the files is not there or those files are part of boot9strap?
The files only appear in [M:] MEMORY VIRTUAL when launched through boot9strap. If using fastboot3ds, you use that directly.

I am sorry to bringing this up a year later, but are boot9 bin and boot11 bin really not system specific?
I'm bringing this up since I haven't read anything about this anywhere, and I can't find it anywhere on the net.
Also I find it odd since ninfs does ask for it to mount SD cards, together with the movable sed, and I don't see any reason to ask for it if it isn't system specific, so I wanted confirmation before risking to brick something while importing decrypted sav data from another console.

Well, I don't know where you're looking, but that is very well-established.

Because it's copyrighted data and someone could get into trouble by arbitrarily distributing it, much like any other ROM. (Not that that doesn't stop people.) Besides, there's no point to including it when it can be dumped so easily.

so I wanted confirmation before risking to brick something while importing decrypted sav data from another console.
I cannot conceive how you think you could brick a console by importing decrypted save data.

I see, thank you! It seems like I didn't do my research properly and should have checked elsewhere.

Oh, I didn't think about that, it totally does make sense.

I'm still a green horn in this kind of stuff, so I thought that maybe if something is "decrypted the wrong way", it could lead to some bugs. Still though, bricking would be too much of an after-effect for just an unreadable file, that's totally true... I exaggerated things.

Thank you for your fast and straight-forward answer ^^
