I want to update the CheckRegion library to include vWii serial codes, but I don't know them. If you could just run the app below from the HBC (it doesn't make any changes to your NAND), then tell me what the code is (it should be 2-3 letters long), that would give me everything I need. I need codes from each region.

    Just run this: CheckRegionvWii.zip

If you want, feel free to remove the last few digits of your serial number. All I really need are the letters.

So far I've gotten plenty of info from USA Wii U's, but I still need info from Asia, Europe, and Australia.

Did you ever send it via Wiiload?

Please redownload it. I've made some changes.

Thanks, I need to look into this. I could swear I was told that I could get the necessary permissions if I applied patches to the IOS.

Truth is, I shouldn't have just depended on something that I thought I read, but looked into it myself. Maybe I have to identify as the SM or something. :shy:

I've already got all the codes from Wii's, just not from Wii U's. Thanks though.

I sent this to JiggyEyeJoe a few days ago, but he never responded. Can someone run this and tell me what the "ret = " values are?

I need to figure out what the error is.

Thanks. For some reason it's returning CONF_ENOENT. I'll need to figure out where, and why.

I (or rather tueidj) found the problem. I've got the whole conversation here, but this is the important part:
Interestingly, that means that in homebrew, the vWii always defaults to 480i/480p, depending on the cables you are using.

Alright, we're back in business. Made a tiny change to libogc and it's all working now.

Thanks man. Crediar's post throws me off, because it's a USA Wii U with a different serial code than the others.

Hey joostin wuts up, been ignoring the Wii U forums for a while didn't realize there was other activity besides "vWii has a problem" stuff going on. If it helps I'll send u my info later or do u already have enough USA console info?
