Hacking i need helpwith something regarding hacking a xbox360...

i mean hacking as in allowing the 360 to play burnt games.i know this isn't the right term, but i'm drawing a blank right now....

well,my cousin was looking for a way to do it,but all stores said that ''since the xbox was new,they could only do it in december''
he bough it 2 months ago.from my experience with those kinds of things,i'm finding this very fishy...is there some truth on this?

also,if this is the wrong board,please direct me to the correct one...

Pretty much every 360 is hackable one way or another.

i really have no idea,xbox isn't my area,and the thing isn't mine.i did read it,but i asked again just to be 100% sure.

but i suspected that one could hack it anyway,i just found it really strange that ''the couldn't hack it until december'' thing (seems like a stupid move,they would lose many game sales.).according t my cousin,3 different shops gave that answer to him...from what i knew,as soon as a hack was ready and working it was released,and most don't have a date of release.itt could be today,tomorow,a month, an year...never...

well,just in case...where can i find the infoyou asked for...?
i'm really a noob regarding this...

There's the MFG date.

Tell me that and then I can tell you a bit more.

i've not found a mfg date but i've found a MFR date...(2012-04-17)
i've also found the model...i guess (1439).is this related to 'slim'' and ''phat'' 360's?
this one looks a little bulky to be called slim...itsbigger than a 64...

It's the same.


It's highly likely to be a Corona model.
If it's on 14719 then you can RGH it.

I think that a DVD drive flash cannot be achieved as of now.
Most likely it contains a Liteon 1175 or Hitachi.
Those are dumpable (and emulatable, not sure about the Hitachi) but not flashable.

You'll have to wait until a replacement PCB is available.
Or get a ODDE and RGH your console to obtain your FCRT.bin + CPUKey to emulate the drive.

A Phat 360 is the original 360.
Slim is the second revision of it.
