Don't trouble yourself with so many programming languages!

Just focus on one language, and find some really easy youtube tutorials! Soon, you can try harder tasks, until you have a really good taste for that language. Then move onto another language!

That's how I became a really good coder, before I founded Voxel Studios! :D

Personally, I hate having to sit down and go through a bunch of tutorials to learn a programming language. I prefer to just jump in head first. I learn by running into problems and then looking up how to solve them. Google and Stack Overflow are my best friends.

If you're just starting out, chances are anything you are trying to do has already been done. Look it up, copy the code, figure out what it does, make modifications. That way you can learn, but you also start to see results fast.

Of course, that is just what works for me. Who knows if it will work for you.

Also remember that you don't have to memorize how to do everything. Looking up answers isn't cheating, it's just being smart. Even in languages I have been programming in for years, I still find myself looking up basic syntax every once in awhile. The internet is a resource, use it, don't try to store everything in your head.

Ruby or Java?
You called? No, just kidding. Please don't hit me...

Most computer code needs to be something you worked with for quite a while. You need to adjust to many codes almost all on your own. Some are really simple such as Python. It's popular, so if you need any help, loads of people can help when needed. And, it's simple. Try looking up some stuff up on beginning some Python scripting.
