I recently found out that my8gb MS I bought from eBay was fake. It's already cracked and I want to replace it. I want to know which is the best 8gb MS solution I can get, be it micro sd adapter or a official Sony card. I need something that will work fast and won't corrupt my files. Any tips will help. Thanks!

*Edit* Thanks for the help I found a solution. Now I'm looking for a full case mod for my phat psp. Any help will be appreciated!!!!

get some thing else like acekard
gbasp.gif

go to frys electronics if you live by one
or dealextreme has some but i dont know if they're fake

DX sticks are definitely fake. The lamest transfer speeds ever, and it totally hampered loading times.

I would recommend these if you're able to shell out a little more than usual, otherwise the memory stick mentioned above from Newegg will suffice.

Or alternatively you could try the Photo-fast thing mentioned in this thread, seems that people are having generally good experiences with them. (especially since 2 x 8GB MicroSDHC + the adapter is pretty much close but cheaper than the 8GB MS I linked to).

As Seven has stated the Sandisk Ultra II sticks are most assuredly the premier solution.

i use the "fake" 8gb ms from dealextreme, and yeah transferring games onto it takes a good minute, but ive never had lag problems in any CSO format game, except for common lag games like gow and gta, so i say, for $18, the 8gb is very worth it

How long have you had it?

I've had a 4GB one from DX that I bought, and for the price, it's well worth it... for the first few months. After the third month it pretty much just went to hell in a handbasket.

God of War isn't a "common lag game". I played it just fine on my 2gb Sony ms. You might want to reconsider the use of a fake ms.

Get the CR-5400 from DealExtreme (impossible for them to 'fake' them really, or sell 'fake' low quality ones...)

After you get that, go to Newegg and get two 8GB microSDHC Class 6, either A-Data or Transcend.

It probably is when running a CSO.

yes i mean cso for god of war and both gta games, all ISOs run perfectly with no lag, like it said, only bad part is no magicgate, and takes an extra minute longer to put your game onto it with usb

so you might wonna reconsider spending $45 on a 2gb useless sony ms when you can have 8gb for $18 or 16gb with the microsdhc and adapter way for a few more bucks

What's the point you're making bar a dig at m3rox? I'd always rather have a Sandisk Ultra II Pro Duo that a MicroSDHC adapter...does that make me wrong too?

microSDHC IS cheap dumbass >_>;

8GB Pro Duo is NOT 18 bucks.

8GB microSDHC from Newegg = 12~14 dollars for CLASS 6

Adapter from dealextreme = 10 dollars

22 dollars = 8GB, 34 dollars = 16GB

8GB MSPD is cheapest at Frys for about 45 dollars.

Where are YOU finding REAL(NOT FAKE) MSPDs for 18 dollars? Because if you can find them that cheap, please DO share, otherwise, you're way off, please shut up.

In any case, the numbers are simple.

8GB
microSDHC+Adapter = $22
MSPD = $45

16GB
microSDHC+Adapter = $32
MSPD = $100+

Not to mention it's a lot easier to handle microSDHCs, and as long as you keep them inside, if you prefer handling them like MSPDs, you can do so.
