Hacking I need help... (IOS related)

Is there a list of IOSs and what they do? Is there a list of necessary IOSs? Is there a list of unnecessary IOSs?
Is it a good idea to uninstall IOS249 and reinstall DVDx to fix any issues I'm having with IOS249?
DVDx is IOS249, right?

DVDX doesn't have anything to do with IOS249

No IOS is really unnecessary enough to uninstall it. What issues are you having with IOS249? That's the IOS that any of Waninkoko's cIOS rev__ installers installs to. So running a different rev installer will install over whatever is there.
