Hacking I need help getting a gba emulator on my psp

So I recently got my friend psp. I love it! I wanted to get an emulator for gba on it and it worked unfortunately i updated the system and now it has the 6.60 PRO-C fix3 firmware. because of that I can't use emulators anymore. I think i have to get a custom firmware but i'm not sure how. I have a hard time using things on the computer because I usually don't have one available. All I want to do is play gba while still having access to the psn store. if i can do that please help! if not.....well help me get rid of the firmware so i can play gba! i'm having quite some troubles T^T

Sir, this just doesn't make any sense at all. If you're using 6.60 PRO-C fix3 you should be able to emulate this and more.

sorry I didnt mean to post that one. I meant i have the most recent one being the 6.61 which got rid of all of that.

No I have that but it says corrupted when i try to use it. I did some research and saw that I need a different firmware in order for it to work. problem is I dont know how to do that or what is good to use or anything

Why does having access to PSN even matter on the PSP anymore? I mean, I guess I sort of get it if you insist on going legit in some ways, but I find staying on 6.60 and lower easier. Regardless, I believe there is CFW available for 6.61. Refer to this post on Wololo linked to from this article. Between the both, you should find what you need to have CFW on 6.61. I would personally suggest using a downgrader to drop to 6.60 and sacrifice PSN access, but do what you gotta do.

alright darn. I mostly wanted psn acess so I could get games on the ps store and play games with my friends bht if it isnt possible to have both ill probably downgrade...thanks for the help though

Well I downgraded to 6.60 but it still wont work. any help/suggestions? also give me a lot of tips. Like i said...im not good with this kinda stuff. it took me an hour to figure out the downgrader.

Like..I have the emulator and it worked before. my friend had custom firmware and i had to use a "fast recovery" file to use it. since i updated it it wouldnt work. ive downgraded it and it still wont work. ive deleted the firmware and again no game....why is this so hard....

I have no idea of what is hard. Although, my tip would you think 2x before embarking on a challenging mental adventure next time.

If you're using 6.60 (OFW) just install the PRO CFW 6.60 (fix3) and, the FastRecovery should work as a trigger after that and any homebrew should work. (Seriously, I don't see where the difficulty lies.)

Well I will try that. Personally I have trouble but I guess ill downgrade, then get the CFW and try again

what psn are you trying to acess? remember only the usa psn you can acess.
the other psn lost the acess.

Thanks everyone! Me and my friend figured it out! also I was talking about the playstation store. I wanted ffxii which I got before we downgraded and reinstalled cfw and stuff. it was so simple that I feel like a dumbass.

Nylocke next time please use the default text format, on the first post you wrote in white and small letters which can't be seen.
and in the second you used every word underlined, which is a cool funcion to use with relevant words, however when you use on the whole text, it is a bit hard to read
