I haven't played a good Japanese game since I played Jump Ultimate Stars. Is there anything else out there that is understandable to a English and Spanish speaking person. Some sort of a fighter or side-scroller that doesn't require the knowing of Japanese?

I don't think there are any new fighting or side scrolling games of your description.

    ^^ that

there is still Soma Bringer though, but you will need an English patch play, so that will ruin the weird JAP experience you want.

Claymore: Gingan No Majo is kinda like Castlevania. It appears to have nice graphics and doesn't look too difficult to understand. Maybe check that out because you say you like sidescrollers.

I think Hitman Reborn Flame Rumble is a sort of JUS-type, 2D fighter. [IMG]

This game is good, but you might find it hard to get used to the controls since it's not common to many other fighters.
