the penny method is just a quick fix, do the xclamp mod and reflow. Microsoft just does a reflow and sends it back to you unless there is something seriously wrong where they need to replace the board.

do some research on reflow and watch tons of videos on youtube. Reballing would be good to but i am sure you have to have a machine for that.

What is reballing and the penny. Even if they aren't as good as reflow, I would still like to know what they are.

Assuming you can, just buy an arcade.

Exactly, and slap your HDD on it.

This way your have a fresh start, at a low price

To be honest, i think that is the most practical way, the RRoD is completely random, and the fixes for it seem to be just as random as well
