Gaming I Consider to get my first UMD

i am considering to buy my first UMD disc
so i have a few questions
1> Is there a region block ?
2> Do UMD Discs Update psp firmware
3> Do i need a specific firmware to play certain games ?
4> Do i need 5.50/6.20/6.31 for DJ Max Portable 3 to play ?

1: No.
2: They prompt you for one however, on the latest Prometheus firmware you should get no prompts.
3: Yes, but Prometheus bypasses that.
4: I'm not sure, but I think you do.
tl;dr: Upgrade to Prometheus and be happy.

Anyone who doesn't own UMD (aside from Go owners) and has owned a PSP for more than a week is the reason the PSP is pretty much dead.....i'm very disappointed that you'd even have to make this topic.

they still make UMD ? after i sold my psp for been boring none wanted to buy the UMD
