Dark Alex's custom firmware has iso loading built in. No need for anything else. Just drop your isos in the 'ISO' folder in the root of your memory stick and then go to the memory card game menu and your game should show up there.

Why aren't you using 3.40 OE-A though?

there's a folder named MP-ROOT i put it in there right...srry as you can see i'm a real noob when it comes to this

No...

As stated already simply make a folder called ISO on the very root of your memory stick.

e.g. F:\ISO, NOT ANYTHING ELSE!

The MP_ROOT folder is for movies.

alright i'm sorry for aksing so many quesitons and making myself look like a idiot

, but whats devhook used for

Devhook allows you to emulate different firmwares on your PSP, so previously when we only had 1.5 version PSP's and newer games required a higher firmware to run you could simply boot Devhook, run a newer firmware then run your games.

It isn't really necessary now the custom firmwares can do just about everything.

BTW the only time asking questions can make you look like an idiot is when you ignore answers and ask the same questions again.

thx you for your help, and now another question for some reason dont ask why when i downgraded to 1.5 i upgraded to 3.02 OEA and now i want to upgrade to 3.40 OEA but i dont want to risk bricking my psp....do you know if i have to upgrade all th eother versions first, or can i go from 3.02 OEA to 3.40 OEA?

You shouldn't need to go through all the firmware versions to update.

Usually you can jump the only time you need to install successive updates is when Dark Alex releases firmware updates.

e.g. 3.02A -> 3.02A' -> 3.02A'' (These names aren't real just guessing)

Just double check the read me files to be sure.
