Gaming I bought a PS3 last night!

Yeah, for some reason I bought a PS3 with some games. It was $420 all together all new, and I bought the headphones that were available, these ones:

Those were $100.00, and I love them!

The games I bought were SOCOM 4, Killzone 3, and Uncharted 1 and 2 collection. Now I'm just having trouble putting a credit card into the store for me to sign up for plus.

I got one cuz it was cheap, and my friend and I want to get back into playing SOCOM. Only problem is now I can't get SOCOM to work because the update won't finish at all. Getting fed up with this, haven't been able to play the damn thing yet. At least Uncharted is pretty addicting.

Why are you signing up for plus? The only reason I could think is group chat.
Anyways PS3 is pretty sweet. It has it's ups and downs but overall it is my favorite system. The games are pretty good but the blue ray is awesome. Media player is great and works with quite a few video formats. The online play is free. built in wifi and you can stream video from your pc if your router isn't complete crap like mine. You can get some pretty cheap used games like metal gear sold 4, resident evil 5, and quite a few others for dirt cheap. I have never had a problem with a used game because I think blu rays either read easier or are more durable than regular cds/dvds. The coolest thing about ps3 is that when the ps network gets hacked you get 2 free games per account on your system. But seriously, i think you'll like it.

Yes, because I want the PSN to get hacked so I can get free games. And what do you mean why am I signing up for plus? Because it's cheap, and there are the 12 games you get for free and all the other stuff they speak about.

My brother was saying a ton of people on Reddit said they bought PS3's just for the free PS+ games.

I've had a PS3 since the Slim launch, and I've gotten a good amount of use out of it I guess. I haven't played it since Uncharted 3, and before that the last game I played was Uncharted 2.

It's a great console, and there's some great games that are cheap now. Just not really for me. I hope you enjoy your new PS3 though.

hey man! I bought my ps3 second handed for half price! i mean it was only used like 5 times. if you wanted a great offer like mine, all you had to do was look around more xD but i guess it's your ps3. hope you have fun with the console

welcome to the ps3 race. For the psn plus bit, i would have said try a months free trial on it first (some games and new ps3s come with a coupon for it I believe) just to see if you think it will be worth it in the long run but there are plenty good games now to try

you pretty much wasted your money, a new remodel is coming out very soon, also the reason i have ps+ is because it has cloud saving, you are going to need that for copy protected save files as you can't copy them to a usb stick.

Good on you, a bonus is the free games but i never have time to play them, i have to renew my subscription in october.

A remodel doesn't make a difference to me lol. I don't care about cloud storage, I just care about the free themes and shit.

PlayStation Plus is great.
Definitely worth it no matter what people say.

Good for you I am going to have to try out uncharted 2. I only played the first one and the third I just can't miss out on a good action story it has.

Ughhhhh!!! I just bought a ps3 slim just like a month ago. now i have to get the super slim just in case my ps3 slim break man... I just hope its worth it.
