Does anyone else have it? Is it safe to assume that there won't be POR issues? I am extremely worried and thinking I should have bought Kingston-Jap

Who cares really, think how many games you are going to be able to play no worries.

So a couple of games may have a touch of slowdown, if you are desperate to play those games then buy the originals.

The topic of memory card speeds seems to get brought up every two seconds at this site. BORING!!!

Just a sec.... is what you just said because of Sandisk or is it because of 2GB???

The brand.

You were crying because you were worried games are going to have slowdown, but really only a couple of games out of the few thousand will cause you any issues using a "Taiwan" microsd card.

Okay, I was going to get another micro SD anyway... I'll just leave this one for video/music.

Why don't you just wait and see how good it goes?

I've bought about 3 sandisk microsd 2GB cards and never had any trouble with them, granted I haven't yet tried to run Castlevania PoR or Tony Hawks but like I said 2 games out of thousands ain't bad!

Sure, all right. But the next micro sd I'll be getting WILL be a 2gb kingston, anyway.

You should'nt worry too much. I got a Taiwan MicroSD, and yet I am playing Castlevania POR without any lag or freeze. Wait, and you will see if it's working correctly or not!

I think alot of the SD card stuff is overblown hype. Last week I got to fool around with an m3 simply, an ezflash, 2 japanese kingston 1gig cards, and 1 1gb adata sd card from god knows where on 2 different dsls. After messing around for a while with many different combinations, POR crashed on everything except the ezflash card. I couldn't even get por to die with the adata in the ezflash. The m3's crashed with the japanese kingstons eventually in all combinations.

I don't think this means the ezflash is a better cart, but I sure don't buy into the 1gb japanese kingston thing as much. I have a 2gb kingston from taiwan that I'll be trying out in the next week or so in a similiar fashion.

The originals have slow downs too

@soybomb: did you even format them in Fat16 64K clusters? If so you're the first to have crashes on PoR on a jap kingston. Hell, I had mp3's slowing down in Moonshell with a taiwan 1GB kingston until i formatted them that way.

Most fail to mention despite speed differences, taiwan 1GB kingston is 30MB smaller than the jap. Sure it's not much, but I like to get my money's worth.

Finally, yea these topics are getting tired. 1gb jap kingston's are so cheap ($10 or less ) so you can easily afford TWO cards.
