So anyone that's been waiting for this not controller maybe excited to see its now available for $30 in either black, white, or purple: http://hyperkinlab.com/procube/

What it is if you are not aware is a Wii U pro controller stylized after the GameCube controller:

Being a Wii U pro controller, it is compatible with any Wii U title that allows for pro controllers including of course Super Smash Bros. Also of interest will be the fact that you should be able to use the controller to play GameCube titles via Nintendont. Of course, being pro controllers they don't have analog triggers, but of course Nintendont has a working button press to emulate the different ways the triggers could be pushed. Hyperkin, the creators of the controller talked about it on Reddit not long ago and I had asked inside if they have rumble, and I was told that they do. I also read however that a full charge on the controller won't last nearly as long as an official Wii U pro controller, but I'm ok with that.

Since I have 3 Wii U pro controllers, 2 black and 1 white, I've ordered a purple ProCube controller, when it arrives I'll let you know how it feels and performs. I'm excited.

I do question why there is a start/pause button when it has a + button, I assume the start button is actually the power button since that seems to be the only button not represented while all other buttons are represented.

Ugh, I think it kinda looks disgusting and blocky. I highly doubt it will feel much like a GC controller in hand.

Yeah, I dunno if it will feel a lot like the GC controller, but I don't think it looks particularly blocky. The top isn't curved, but other than that everything else seems to be, so I think it will still be comfortable, but I'll let you all know when mine arrives.

The battery lasts only 8 hours which is a bit of a downside, but if they ad international shipping soon-ish, i will propably get one instead of a pro controller.

The design looks kinda cool I suppose, but I would doubt how ergonomic it is. I'll stick with my Hori GameCube styled classic controllers. ;)

Controller looks nice but already have the WUPC and Gioteck GC-2 so no point getting this one, besides, it's out of stock.

Really, only 8 hours? What a joke.

Yes, that's what their awful presented FAQ states. They also don't offer international shipping either and have no plans to change that.

    Like Michael would say:

There's plenty of alternatives for a 3rd Party Nintendo Wii U controller so no loss here.

Yeah, 8-10 hours def stinks for how long it will last on a single charge especially considering the 80 hours an official controller gets. However, considering I never play more than 8 hours in any given day, it's not hard to just charge my controller as soon as I'm done with it. That's what I already do with my official Wii U Pro controllers out of habit anyway, so definitely not a deal breaker for me.

The Gioteck GC-2 is said to last for 20hrs but my one seems to last for longer as I've yet to recharge it so only 8hrs for a Pro Controller is pretty pathetic.

As I just said, it's s crappy amount of time for one charge, but given that I never play 8 hours on a console in even a single day, for my needs it isn't a deal breaker at all. Just charge the controller every time im done using it and there won't be any issues, really is something I already do with the official controllers, so I probably won't really even notice the controller ever even start to die, so whatever. I understand how that kind of info may turn people away, but it literally has no impact on my decision to get one.

What I mean is, 8hrs is OK for the Wii U GamePad but a traditional controller should handle more than just that.

Oh I agree, but as I said, its not a deal breaker for me. It should be able to get a better charge, but it doesn't, so oh well, I'll just enjoy it for what it is and just make a mental note to charge it after every use. This is far from the most annoying device I own that needs to recharge often.

    Well this sucks:

    Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for ordering the Hyperkin ProCube controller. Unfortunately, we are unable to fulfill your order due to our initial run of ProCubes being oversold as a result of immediate demand. Your order has been canceled, and to rectify the situation, your payment will be fully refunded. We deeply apologize for this occurrence, and you will be put on our Priority List to be notified early when we receive our next batch of ProCube controllers.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to make you a ProCube owner as soon as possible.

    Sincerely,

    Hyperkin Staff

They sold out too quickly apparently, which is total BS, I really want this controller.

They didn't even offer you to stay on backorder? Some customer service.
