lol, my wii u just got auto updated from 5.3.2-5.5.1 this morning. Its so fking hilarious!! If I found out this thresh early, I would block my wii u from the stupid auto update from Nintendo. Luckily, I still have 1 more wii u with 5.5.0 firmware. and I think Im gonna stick with this thread about waiting the next exploit.

man, I purchased it 5 days ago :(. I havent even finished 1 game yet, then boom I got the latest firmware =)). Im gonna put it on craigslist immediately.

I think my prediction of the exploit not materializing until NX is released will be true, I mean, look at all the drama giving even a rough estimate causes. In the end who gives a shit if he releases it. Everyone needs to calm down and go out this night for pleasure. The night is still young...

So let me get this right...peoples consoles have been updating with tubehax enabled?
No, it's the people that think they can do better than Tubehax and try and block the update servers on their own...

Last edited by Datalogger,
i tried to update with tubehax enabled and i couldnt update. then i auto obtain DNS and updated and enabled tubehax again.

I have tubehax enabled, turned off standby mode, and also turned off downloading in the download manager. Nothing updated so far :P

Yeah I have those settings too, mine is still fine (5.3.2 spoofed to 5.5). I just read those last couple of posts & I was like WTF. I also unplug the power to my wii when i'm not using it. Now for this illusive exploit to be released........

Why not both?
Well I know of at least one person that tried something like that and got burned.

Seems he thought it made sense to set the DNS to Tubehax, then also add in the Proxy to point at the same proxy server he used for blocking updates on his 3DS's.
Seemed to be working fine...until then next day when the wii-U updated to 5.5.1 by getting to the wii-U update servers though the proxy (wii-U and 3DS do not use the same Update servers)

That said, Tubehax does the job all by its lonesome No need for anything else.

If you want to be extra careful, do what I do and dig up an old Android Cell phone with no cell service and setup a simple HotSpot and http server (like kWS)
Absolutely zero chance it can reach their servers.

Hey guys, be very careful, apparently coming or there is already a new update for the version of the Wii U greater than 5.5.1 to 5.5.2 or 6.0.0 may not know, but what I do know is that now I just enter my Wii U and I've run into is trying to update my Wii U and of course as I have configured with the TubeHax to not be updated guess that's why I'm still on 5.5.1, look at the picture that Annex my Wii U, I just take right now where I show my current version of my Wii U it is the 5.5.1 and attempted Nintendo update, if anyone has more information please, I came to Nintendo and I do not see that they have published anyother than the 5.5.1 update, however, I heard that Nintendo first launched the updates and then a week later is that the public, what you say about it?
