Hacking Hykem's 5.5 iosu Exploit

i look up on their official website it states "The latest system update is 5.5.1 U"

w..well.. then i guess i will stay away from my WiiU for a while, hmm i mean staying away from Online play..
no more SSB/MK soo i guess i will keep it off completely XD those 2 games are the only ones i play.

Well GF me decided to buy today Super Mario 3D World and a few virtual console games through eshop and didn't even realized during the process my system updated to 5.5.1 lol now I am screwed = no Hykem exploit for me

Well, if your going to be screwed, I know which option I would go for. Just check to make sure the game pad still works.

Are you sure he's screwed, Nintendo can't have beefed up security because 5.4 and 5.5 arent out yet and are different to 5.3.2

Devs confirmed that multiple browser bugs have been patched on 5.5.1 which means if Hykem was using one of them to trigger the IOSU exploit, you'll not have access to IOSU any soon on 5.5.1 Unless hykem decides to spend few more monthes finding another bug and making another browser exploit.

Tubehax DNS blocks nintendo servers which means no updates (unless smealum takes it down, but I doubt he'll do so before warning people).

You could set up Tubehax and block Nintendo's update servers. I just played a few races in MK8 online and I am still on 5.5.0 (With tubehax and servers blocked in router).

Well Hykem said he will release his exploit before February so it's OK and I'll wait patiently. But what about the others? They said they have a working exploit for 5.4.0 but they were waiting for a firmware update from Nintendo so they can release their exploit but I see no exploit anywhere. Why is that?

Well maybe since they are human beings and they are not that "automatic" XD. It's gonna happen soon ofcourse unless they changed their minds, but don't take anyone's word except Marionumber1 regarding that .

But Hykem didn't already state that he was working on his own browser exploit? Then doesn't that increase the chances that it wasn't patched? I still wouldn't update though as no facts have come to light regarding this specifically.

Go learn how to make games, one thing I know about those concept artists/ game programmers is, they definitely don't play as much as consumers do, they're much more busy making the games, yes they test once in a while but that doesn't go beyond an hour or some evening with friends.
In your case since u made a thread and said you wanted to learn, I definitely engcourage you to use this "waiting" time for more productive things , as I said it requires descipline, and not just liking the idea .

I believe he was talking about the kernel exploit back then, and yes that one isn't patched yet even on 5.5.1 and they can still stockpile it.
