Yes, basically every piece of hardware is accessible once the IOSU kernel is under our control.

The bug behind the exploit still stands, but an Arduino is a dead-end, and I'll need to try other hardware testing methods.
Like a Pi? Or something requiring soldering to the board inside?

Yet another retard who doesn't understand software development, complaining about delays in software development. There's a shock.

Im not complaining about delays in software development, I am complaining about the immature and childlike disposition that some of these guys behave. For example "Pluto isnt releasing,Guess I wont release mine then!!!" That kind of thing is completely unnecessary.

It was also never said, so now we have an idiot who doesn't know shit about software development complaining about delays in software development, AND things that never actually happened. Maybe you shouldn't take everything you read on GBAtemp as the gospel truth.

Sadly, the known way of dumping the emmc is via an SD card reader hack, which is not only slow, but also unreliable. I want to figure out a way to dump and write the emmc via a teensy, and I already have it theoretically figured out, I just don't have a wiiu to test it on to make sure that the rest of the components on the mobo wont interfere.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

An fpga may be the way to do it, but I hear programming them is quite a bitch.
emmc was only really used as a storage device iirc? we need to dump the nand banks for a downgrade iirc.....plus there was the theory that we could possibly hijack wii's access to the NAND to dump/restore a NAND backup assuming there is a way to swap nand banks whilst remaining in vwii mode

Ok, guys, I'm getting a little bit irritated with the shitposting but I can deal with that. However, if you're going to shitpost, do it respectfully. Cut it out with calling people "autistic," "retarded" or "with Asperger's." Not only is it morally degrading to the people you're targeting, but it is also making a mockery of legitimate mental illnesses. Quit it, seriously

Just a thought...
I know If I were Nintendo, I would not release the next WiiU update knowing that the IOSU exploit is gonna be released as soon as the update.
Just a thought...

The nand is certainly important in the whole scheme of things. There almost seems like there is a direct correlation between the nand and the emmc. In other terms, it looks like if anything is chance on the emmc then there may be a hash written to the nand, and vise-versa.. which would keep them both in check.

People have been able to dump the emmc for quite a while, but when they try to restore it is where they come across an issue. Although I can not validate what method they used or if they bothered with checking the nand at the same time, I am willing to bet that they did not do the same with the nand between boots.

Dumping the nand is tit simple. We have been able to do that with an infectus and a teensy for quite some time. Luckily, the nand chip can be removed from the mobo so we don't need to worry about interference from the mobo... and I was the first person ever to dump the nand chip of the wiiu... even before f0f did it, although that doesn't mean shit in the end.

I seriously wish I had a wiiu to test things because this all would be figured out rather quickly if I did.

It is morally degrading to call someone a psychopath(Anti Social Personality Disorder) or a retard, yet people still do it. I am not aiming it as an insult at all, I would cut off a finger if that guy isn't on the spectrum and I am not trying to insult anyone here. I have complete respect for Autistic people. Aspergers syndrome is NOT an illness,it is a neurological disorder.Huge difference. There is no disease about autism.

I never claimed to be a programming expert, hykem did however state that he would deliver IOSU on christmas and has been stirring up the pot.

What you mention are not illnesses, but instead are "conditions" or "disorders". Otherwise what you say is right on.

Funny enough, it is usually those whom "suffer" from autism or aspergers tend to be the ones that can really make shit happen because their brains like to focus on things that tend to be so deep.
I was diagnosed with aspergers, but hell, when I care about something enough I can make shit happen even if the rest of my life is in shambles.

Hell, take a poll of those whom are members of MENSA and see how many of them have been diagnosed with aspergers or autism. We may be socially awkward, but we kick ass when it comes to logistics.

HMMM I see your logic. Well I believe I'm the most retarded person here.

yep this is true i have a brother with autism and he is very good at what he does (his forte is sports stats), but while people with autism can be socially awkward in my time spent working with people with on different levels of the spectrum its actually quite rare to find one who is needlessly rude/vulgar (most are generally quite mild mannered compared to "non autistic" people) and almost always they excel in some aspect of their lives despite needing extra emotional/social support

(sorry didnt want to take this thread off topic, but lets be honest its a bit off topic by default, and i think educating people about autism is more productive than shitting on everyone)

You are wrong to assume that all aspergers syndrome dxd individuals have high IQ. There is ZERO correlation between IQ and autism spectrum.Infact most people with aspergers have average IQ. You are right to say people with aspergers with high iq are successful but most people with high IQ are successful regardless of aspergers.

So looks like I missed another 40 pages of whining and insults. Has Hykem said anything lately about the project? I check here for news but we seem to be discussing autism(?)...

And it looks like there are now talks of needing hardware mods to do something? Or am I just confused? It's hard to pick out the important bits between the memes trolls and middle school name calling matches.
