Won't be saying that for long when someone shows up with something new, thanks to Hykem's IOSU keys. It's just a matter of time to get to work on unlocking the system right now. I stopped reading this thread as often since I know it will be a while, and nothing will instantly be ready right away (USB loaders, homebrew, etc)

I do enjoy my wii u games, I have 43 of them on disc (44 if you include the one in the post)

FYI Dolphin wii support came in July 13 2008, by feb 2009 it could run the wii system menu, by april 2009 it could play all commercial wii and gamecube games, with some bugs. By October 2009 it could play games damn good. In the end of its dev cycle in June 2011 it was a beast that ran it all and is the same version we use now. There have been a few bugfixes and legacy removal since but from this Ive no idea where you got half a decade from.

CEMU has noen of that since It's a completely new emulator of a system that side from the cpu bears little resemblance with the Wii

It's a long way from kernel exploit to emunand. It'll take at least a week to have loadiine running somehow okay on 5.5 and I guess months to achieve something like emunand.

Dolphin was originally a Gamecube emulator that came out before the Wii was released, and like he said, Wii is pretty much a souped up Gamecube in the first place, so perhaps you should learn to read instead..

You're missing the point: the Wii and Gamecube were so similar, and that it'll probably be more like the half a decade mentioned before a Wii U emulator will run Wii U as good as Dolphin runs Wii games. By emulating the Gamecube (about as well as Cemu currently emulates Wii U!) back in 2003, they already had a huge starting point when it came to emulating the Wii.
Maybe you're right, with enough effort from the developers a fully running Wii U emu COULD be done in 3 years of course, but you can't use the comparative speed at which Dolphin emulated the Wii as a case in point.
