Hello all,

So I installed an HWfly v4 a while back on my OLED and I restarted recently and got a solid yellow which is a firmware error. After this, I updated the firmware and reset the chip.
Now I am getting an infinite training light and no error code after 15 minutes.

Values of C and D are 0.6 which is correct and within range
I can still boot into OFW perfectly fine
Yes, I have checked dat0 multiple times and the C value is 0.6

Any advice would be appreciated

Sure, I'll take some pics soon. Did you want specific places on the board?
Also, do you happen to know what the values of A and B should be?

Oled with Samsung Nand

Black to ground:
3v3 0.812v
C 0.605
A 0.825
D 0.826
B OL

Red to ground:

3v3 0.453
C 0.472
A 0.474
D 0.473
B 0.442

maybe a firmware problem:

Not sure which NAND I have, but here are my values.
Tried the firmware on that post, but sadly still have the same issue.

red to ground
3v3 0.43
C 0.67
A 0.46
D 0.67
B 0.41

If I do black to ground I get weird results
C OL
a 0.6
D OL
B OL

Does this indicate C and D problems with my soldering? Why would red to ground seem normal?

Its your C point and 400ish red probe on ground is correct reading. Adapter needs re-positioning.

It was 0.6 when I first installed a while back and it worked fine

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
