I've looked around, but haven't found anyone with the same problem as I have.

Anyway, The R button never reacted that well.
Blowing worked in the beginning.
This evening, however, My DSi would think that the R button was pressed even when it wasn't pressed.

What I'm really worried about, though, is the fact that when I opened my DSi after that,
The top screen was totally black.

Now, when turning it on, the top screen flickers, and eventually goes dark after 10 seconds or so.

I don't think I can repair it myself, so I'm currently thinking of sending it to Nintendo.

However, does anyone know whether I will keep my DSiware?
And if my account can be carried over to, if needed, a new DSi, then what about my saves?

Also, if you've ever 'used' Nintendo's customer service (that's how you call it, right?),
Then what are your thoughts about it? Any complains?

And do I need to do something in order to be able to get the correct DSi back?
And what happens if they think I messed with my DSi?
Also, if I can't prove I've still got warranty, will they repair it if I pay them,
or will they refuse to help me at all?

- I'd just very much like to know everything about it.

I'm sorry, but I'm really freaked out right now.
Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think Nintendo is very strict about warrants, as I have sent an item to get fixed when it was out of warranty, and they give you another 1 year warranty.

I've used nintendo's customer service, they are really nice, they even paid shipping for me, and called a fedex guy to pick it up. My DS came back brand new and I had a minor issue (wasn't really broke either). They are awesome, you'll be in good hands. The only thing I'd be concerned about is not having a DS for awhile but it usually doesn't take more than a week or two to get fixed (or replaced) and sometimes not that long.

But don't take peoples word here for it, call nintendo (1800-255-3700 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              1800-255-3700      end_of_the_skype_highlighting) they answer any questions you have, you really have nothing to lose asking them.

Just don't tell them you've used a flash cart. (if you have)

Just leave your DSi alone for a while, you played it non-stop. Give it rest for a day or two then check on it.

i didn't play it non-stop...?

Anyway, this morning, everything worked,
but whenever I press L to use the camera feature on the 'main menu', and then go back,
it would go back, but after that, it wouldn't respond. it wasn't crashed, icons were animating and all,
it just didn't 'know' that a button was pressed.

Also, it still thinks that my R button is permanently pressed.

Still, thanks for your comments, everyone!
I'll search for a solution, and if there's none,
I'll just send it to Nintendo.

just tell nintendo what happened and ask them if the'll transfer your dsiware. My nephew send his DSi in a couple of weeks ago, and didn't get his dsiware transfered (he said they only do it on request) but you get 500 points when you reconnect to the dsi shop, so you can buy it with that.
If they won't do that, ask for a refund.

also, nintendo in the netherlands is quite slow. So don't expect any fast service.

dont give too much details they could think you had manipulated it
Its easyer to say: Something doesnt work

Well, after fiddling around with my R button,
It's now almost completely broke (doesn't react to anything),
meaning that i can play every game I want (because there are almost no games that use the R button...right?).

Thanks for all your advice!
If I'm gonna send it anyway, I'll be sure to ask them to let me keep my DSiWare!

Send it to Nintendo
Don't say anything other than the R button seems broken

You don't want to sound to smart and you don't want to sound retarded

Just keep it simple
