Hardware HP a706n sound

i just preformed a system restore on my hp a706n and i can't get the sound to work so far i have tried the driver from hp's sound and nothing i am using the onboard sound and i cannot figure out the problem
please i really need some help

Dumb but obvious question, Speakers on/connected?

yes everytyhing is connected and when i do into the sounds menyu from the control panel i can change anything

You sure you installed the drivers correctly? Try in Safe Mode.

i installed it in safe mode and it worke thanks for the help
