Hi everyone,

How can I get the update for the cartridge version of the new Pokemon games? I have a new 3ds with A9LH and Luma and Freeshop. I have never been in the Nintendo eshop or any Nintendo service. Just testet Freeshop ones.

I don't want to risk a ban or anything. So how do I get the update?

Thanks everyone!
Yumi

Just update and you'll be golden. No bans or anything

Unless you're on a region changed console that doesn't have the capability of accessing the eShop, pressing Y to update when it prompts you on the home screen is perfectly fine.

You can also manually get the update in the eShop, or you can get it from freeShop.

freeShop absolutely can download updates for cartridge games. Touch the icon that looks like a controller to get to your game list, insert the cartidge if it isn't already inserted, touch the name of the game, touch the "updates" download arrow.

I see, well it hasn't been working for me. It seems to only download updates of games I installed

I just used it to download the update of Pokemon Sun (running on a cart, not installed to the system) on a region changed N3DS (it isn't able to access the eShop due to being out-of-region) and it worked fine.

Do you have any hacks installed? Like the no outlines, qr injection, or saltysd? If you do, remove them for now. They do work on 1.1 but you'll have to patch the code.bin from the 1.1 update.

Are you being for real, cause that's hard to believe, DK is Nintendo and made in japan, Sea of thieves was from Microsoft, in America. I'm not calling you a liar, just didn't know.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
