All I could find here was an old thread.

If using a CIA file in FBI, how do I play when game update is required?

Bonus questions:
If I upgrade my SD card to a 64gb, is it really as easy as transferring all files across? Could I get a 2nd 32gb card and swap them for different games?

When you install a game via CIA/FBI, you can play it as is without updating. Or just update the game through the eShop. Or try to find the update CIA online somewhere.


As for SD Cards, get a new SD Card, format the 64GB card to Fat32 with 32k Clusters, and copy all files and folders to your PC, somewhere safe. Then copy the SD Card backup to your new SD Card.
