How to reset Gimps settings to default on a PC running Linux Mint

I am trying to reset Gimps settings to default after some strange things are happening and I have tried searching my home directory for Gimps config file but I have found none I am wondering if anyone was willing to drop a suggestion thanks to anyone who has a answer

In home for me there is a folder called .gimp-2.8/ (the . part meaning it is hidden so either view hidden files or just put that in the relevant search bar or command line).

Told ya' to keep GIMP 2.8.22

The branch 2.10.X just sucks ass.
