so i was browsing for themes and found this one i really liked.

Its a simple theme with catchy music, but the problem are the SOUND EFFECTS.

Theyre so annoying!

I figure i have to delete the SFX file, but then i had to choose between .bcstm and .ogg

I chose to delete .bcstm and find out that was the song :rofl2:

So,i grab my SD and delete the .ogg

I open the home menu and it still has the SFX! :wtf:

How do i remove the SFX without doing anything to the song?

Thanks!

BCSTM files are always background music, but I'm assuming that the general effects are stored within the theme's BIN. I dunno if these are editable with a theme creator, but it's worth a shot (try with YATA+).

for remove sfx or bcstm you need to open the theme (boly_lz.bin ?) in Usagi 3ds theme editor and in the option of the theme disable sound effect and the son (if you want to remove one sfx, click on experimental(I believe) and remove the sfx in question)

I own the official Sega Saturn theme, and I would use it if you could shut off that damn background music. It was hard enough to listen to Sonic R's soundtrack in Sonic R, but I don't want to have to listen to it all the time on my 3DS!

That's how I feel about most of the custom themes. So many I like, but have annoying or overpowering music. I just want the theme visuals with standard 3DS sound... no added music or effects. I had tried deleting the bcstm and ogg files from some of the theme folders, load another theme and then switch back, but the music would play anyway. I guess it gets stored in some other folder after CHMM2 installs it. It's good to know I can edit the themes to remove the offending audio.
