Being offline usually won't help, with error reports and such, but atmosphere CFW disables those. Still, so far there is no proper 'method' of preventing a ban.

So what should I disable and which CFW should I use ?

Any cfw. Just stay offline.
And to boot to OFW, just boot without going to RCM.
And with Autorcm chose to boot to ofw.

I'm sorry but my english is not so good, Could you please explain what you meant ?
!!!AUTOCORRECTION :hateit:!!!
You can go with any CFW. Just stay offline/in airplane mode.
To boot to OFW while not having Autorcm, just boot normally.
If you have autorcm, choose to boot to OFW thru the payload (send via the dongle).

Is it really safe to go online with OFW, even if there is a cfw installed?

I would like to update my switch without burning fuses and go online. I do not want to use any stuff of cfw. Is this safe?

I would like to update, but also want to keep possibilty of using a cfw later. I hope, that there will be a safe method in some months or years.

1. do a backup of the nand in hekete on a system that never touched homebrew
2. use your desired firmware offline
3. restore clean firmware whenever you are done with a hacked system
4. ???
5. Profit

Basically you can't without restoring nands. You either keep a hacked Switch offline permanently, which has the exact same effect as a ban, or you use a non hacked Switch online, at which point you've not got a hacked Switch anymore.

You could always backup your non hacked Switch nand and your hacked Switch nand and restore those when you want to go back and forth to a hacked Switch I guess. But I don't know that restoring a non hacked nand is even complete protection from a ban.

Yes. But you can back them up.

Never said that. It is safer, but I won't call it safe.

Good rule of thumb is to assume the moment you do anything none official on your console that you have banned your console. That way when the inevitable ban does come you are not surprised.

If you must have an online console then get a second Switch and keep it stock for all your online needs.

Or just simply not mod at all and live happily ever after.

You can backup them as mentioned. This is the only way to 100% avoid a ban as of now. SX emuNAND should in theory be safe from bans too if you keep emuNAND offline and your sysNAND is clean but that could change with the next update.

Isnt it actually called "fake emunand" (not real like on 3DS), the emunand method which SX uses? Does Atmosphere supports actually the "real emunand"? As far as I know, the fake emunand shares some data with ofw which should mean that its not actually safe enough and that it could lead to ban..... or did I miss something?
