Hacking How to patch IOS with freethebug?

I've been trying to use freethebug to ES_identify patch IOS70, but all I get are either errors or that no changes have been made.

Could someone tell me how to do this? I've been trying to get preloader working with 4.2U for days and nothing I have done has prevented a black screen when loading the SM. Tried updating via Wanins 4.2 updater, tried updating via Ninty, tried patching with DOP-IOS, tried changing the SM IOS in preloader, etc, etc... and was told that I need to ES_identify patch IOS70 with freethebug but I can't seem to do that.

Here's a MOD of Dop IOS Mod that will let you patch IOS70 with the ES_identify patch so preloader works with IOS70

So I just rename Dop-IOSMOD.dol from that .zip to boot.dol and put it in a folder under sd://apps/ and start it from HBC and then I can patch IOS70 to make it work with preloader 0.29 jodi?

Yes, just rename the Dop_IOSMOD.dol file, it works in exactly the same way as the normal dop ios all i've done is enable the ES_Identify patch for IOS 70 as well as 36

Easy way to get a fully functional cboot2 legally is to use WUFE to extract the update from an old disc. Or I used WiiScrubber, i think WUFE works.
