Hacking how to overcome compatibility issues with blue gateway card?

I was just wondering you guys, I wanted to come across some of my old save files is some of my old pokemon games such as heart gold and pokemon white, but the games didnt work, which was odd because i though all ds games should be compatible with the blue gateway card. I heard that you might need to patch roms, but I have no idea how to do this. could some one explain how to patch roms, or if I could use another loader or something like ys menu or another wood firmware or if anything else at all is possible.

Did you have different regions for these games last time you played them? And what did you use to play them before?

I have the same regions (usa.) As for what I played them on before, an r4 sdhc colne cart.
Out of curiosity, are they supposed to work fine? Could it be that they are bad roms or something?

Just download the AOS for the Ace3DS+ and copy it over the gateway files (you need the original _DSMENU.DAT). It will solve at least 90% of your compatibility issues.

It could also be that it's the fault of your microSD card. When I tried Pokemon Black 2 it didn't work (Error accessing savedata or something like that). I tried it with another card and it works now

I just posted that I got everything working after I installed the wood firmware on the blue card. Dont you read the previous posts? Just install the wood firmware that was posted in the few comments before and it will work.

Yeah i did it and it get's stuck on loading. Maybe I have a bad rom, will try downloading it again.

I'm sorry I didnt mean it in a bad kind of way. I'm really sorry if I offended you.

It probably won't work well with the default Gateway Firmware. Go grab a patched ROM and run it on the Gateway Bluecard Wood firmware released a couple days ago.

Ok tried a diferent pokemon white 2 rom and all i got is a blank screen after the loading one. Got the updated wood 1.62 and everything. Any ideas??

Heck if I know then, it works fine on the one that came with my R4 Deluxe, but I haven't opened my Gateway yet (Nor do I want to).

I had this problem with the r4i 3ds card my wifes son couldn't play pokemon black. might try this
