Hacking How to migrate to bigger SD card?

My 32 GB card was full, so I bought a new 64GB card, thinking I could just clone the smaller one into the new. I did that, but there are no titles in menu except homebrew ones. Surprisingly, I didn’t find info how to migrate to a bigger card on GBATemp (only for Switch).

You must format your new sd card to FAT32 first, then copy everything

Nope, did that, formatted with SD Formatter, copied everything directly to root, even hidden files. No icons in menu, only HB ones.

Any microSD higher than 32GB requires a custom formater program.
(All new/2/3DS XL/LL supports only FAT32, NO EXFAT formatted cards)


Recommended tool for the job: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?fat32format.htm

Make sure you pick 32kb block size.

Then you can follow @Reploid 's instructions.

I thought that SD formatter from the SD Alliance or whatever the official one is called bypasses it too, but apparently not.

Nope as it does not ignore windows api
