Hacking how to make START invisible

I'm making a skin for Acekard 2 but I want to make the START word invisible (because there's an image for start)

How can I make it invisible?

I'm not really sure but put something that would block it. Or I think a custom firmware would be required.

I don't know if this would work, but you could make a completely transparent PNG...

or you could just crop the section from the image with the START thing and just use that same section for it...

Increase the vertical size of the start box so the word "start" will be off the bottom of the screen.
