Hello everyone! Hope all is well. I'm looking to run cyberfoil on my switch to run a paid eshop. The issue is that the downloaded games don't work. I followed this guide: https://switch.hacks.guide/ and was told that it doesn't support piracy, so it's missing the step of installing sys-patch.

Trying to set things up, I messed up my emuMMC so I'm going to do a fresh install of Hekate. When should I install sys-patch? Also, I'm not sure on how to do it exactly. I found this GitHub: https://github.com/impeeza/sys-patch and it instructs me to install devkit and run it on my computer. After I download devkit and launch MSYS, what should I do? Finally, I'm not really sure if I should be installing sigpatches still?

Thank you so much!

Sys-patch is a replacement for sigpatches so that you don't need to acquire new sigpatches after every firmware update.
So if you can get sys-patch up and running, you don't need sigpatch files anymore.

You only need the devkit if you want to build the sys-patch module from source.
If you download the zip file from latest release from https://github.com/impeeza/sys-patch and extract it, you should see a bootloader and atmosphere folder.
You need to add those to your SD card.
Do not replace the atmosphere/bootloader folder with these 2 folder as you'll be missing atmosphere and hekate again.

Instead of installing sys-patch on your own, you could also opt for the HATS package that contains everything you need with with right versions.
