since i had nothing better to do, i thought I'd see if i could get fbi to work at all, but like a few people in this thread, i've never gotten past the Done screen. i mean, i got into fbi when it stuck at cleaning up, but never the way its supposed to and stuff.

i tried several of the tricks and several things of my own, like copying all files to pc, formatting the sd and putting the files back, with boot and fbi being the first files on it and stuff like that.

i wonder if it isn't like, certain models that just work a lot better than others, or if the sd card reading and writing speed aren't all somehow a part of this mystery. considering some easily got this to work several times in a row or constantly while others struggle endlessly. maybe some consoles come with ram thats slightly faster or slower and that maks a difference when this exploit tries to execute.
basically the same way some report menuhax to fail more than half the time while for others, it never failed ever.

or if the console is preoccupied checking street pass data in background (if thats even happening while homebrew launcher runs). just less obvious stuff that might interfere.

because as far as i can tell, it doesn't seem to be what version of 3ds you have, what exploit you use, what version of exploit, even what homebrew menu you use.
but it also doesn't seem to be absolutely random, since for most people, it either works somewhat reliably, or barely if ever
Don't forget that this whole implementation of Memchunkhax2 with FBI (if that's what this is) is super buggy and unstable. It could just come down to an unstable version of the program, something that could possibly be fixed with later releases.

I am beyond stumped, this is amazing, i was able to get most of the games installed, but for the life of me can't find a active link for Smash Bro's all of them seem to be dead.
Took me about 89 attempts, but finally got it up and running. Blisters from turning on and off the 3DS though haha.

I just ran Yeti3ds, exited and launched FBI. Suddenly worked after about an hour of glitchy text and never reaching done! Installing now to test it out - Original 3ds from 2011, running 9.9 Eur

I've done the same and now i'm installing super smash bros *-* thanks, it could be a random thing or maybe some exploit run codes that allow fbi to work

yeah, thats a given, but, if it was this buggy, it would have to be this buggy for everyone. but there's clearly two extremes here, some have it work continuously and others barely ever get it working.
so it seems somewhat more likely that this fbi version, while unstable, is also affected by some certain factors that make it more or less stable.

Perhaps the entry point? lots of people using menuhax/themehax seem to have success while Im using ironhax with no luck today

I used ironhax and I was able to do it at my first try (opening ftPony and closing before doing it).

I tried the same with ftbrony (someone had success using it) and after closing it using LRdownB and even with the start button I have had no success. Im on ironhax 1.1 btw

Why don't you try to update ironhax first?

Maybe it helps. I used ironhax 2.5.

Second day of trying on N3DSXL 9.9. My fingers hurt. My wife's fingers hurt. Do I really want that Kirby thing?

nah, according to the thread, there's many people who have it failing with menuhax and working with ironhax too, that doesn't seem to be the deciding factor.

That's a good point. It seems like there's too many variables to just take a guess though. I mean I know nothing about the underlying code, but perhaps someone with better knowledge of it could take a look.

Humm well I was solely using Menuhax and it still took my about 30-40 tries to finally get FBI booted with proper privileges.

Install was a success after launching Yeti3DS beforehand, exiting and opening FBI! took about 30 minutes to install but it's there on the home menu! Using Menuhax, Original 3ds on 9.9E!

I tried about 20-30 times last night with no success, I managed to get to the cia selection screen once but I'd get the invalid argument error. I then transferred my SD contents from a class 6 32GB to a class 10 64GB and managed to get everything working after the second attempt. May have just been luck, but maybe using a faster SD class helps?
