When it uses the network while installing the cIOS, what is it exactly doing then? I was also wondering if there was a way of putting the gamma loader on the channel screen to simplify the loading process for those that are less tech savvy

thanks to big moe. i had to the .dol from page 3 like airstream did. but works great. ive noticed backups are noisy in the dvd drive, is that normal?

I have followed this all the way through and installed most everything ok.
I can play games fine and everything but when I try to have a backup launcher channel, it always reboots my wii, i tried the forsaken on included in the pack and several others....

any ideas for me to try out?

i am at 3.2U with starfall installed as well.

my gamma loader works fine but my softchip when i load it goes to a black screen and asks about what Cios to use i hit A and it reboots. how do i update gamma and softchip when updates become available? thanks

it connect to internet to download needed files for the install , and with my installer you are actually provided by an autoboot channel just needed to be installed , and you can do that via WadManagerV1.3 from HBC , enjoy and happy holidays to you too

install Ios36 rev7 from waninkoko it should work better with the channel

it depends on your console and it's drive , some louder than others but in general it is louder

when it ask for Cios set it to 249 using the D-pad on the Wii controller then press A and it should work fine, Big Moe's Installer v3 will have the most updated releases and Apps , or replace the files on SD Card with the new ones

Thanks for the guide, having a bit of trouble...seems a little different than what others are saying.

When I run the last stop cIOS Installer, it says Bad Hash Check when it's at part 7/15.

I tried manually installing the "IOS36-64-v1042.wad" by putting it in the WADS folder (probably a bad idea). It didn't help anything work and now when I uninstall "IOS36-64-v1042.wad" the HBC doesn't load anymore. So I have to have "IOS36-64-v1042.wad" installed or HBC doesn't run.

Now when I run the cIOS installer, I just a black screen and I have to do a hard reset.

My system was at 3.4 and it downgraded it following your instructions to 3.2U (My Wii's USA).

Any thoughts to get me back on track? I tried rerunning the IOS Downgraders and cIOS Downgrader and going through all the steps again, but no luck...

install Cios36 rev7 from waninkoko and that should work for the gamma loader

if HBC still not loading just reinstall it again and you should be up and running

post back the results of success please

Ya I got it working. Installing the Cios36 rev7 didn't seem to work, so I just redid the TP hack and HBC install. Then I made the sure the cIOS installer was downloading from the net, instead of installing off my SD card and I didn't get any hash check problems.

She just tried to play a backup game through the Gamma channel that I know works (I tested it om mine) and she just gets a black screen, then she has to hard boot it. I was going to copy my SD card on to one for her but haven't done it yet. To load through the channel does she still need the SD card in?

Don't forget the cIOS.
Also, check if the game is compatible (you can search for that on the gbatemp wiki).
Make sure the game is NTSC (since you are probably using a USA wii). If it isn't, use the FORCE NTSC option.
Some channels will need the SD card (the ones that just link to the file in the card), some won't. Just test with it to see if that is the case.

Hey again guys...I have been enjoying the Wii, it's working great, no problems, just wondering what I need to do to get the gamma loader onto the channel selection, I'm not sure what I need to put on the SD card to install the new channel, and for that matter, I would like to get rid of the current backup loader channel already there....any help would be appreciated! I know the games works because I played it on my own Wii. I also got to thinking and it played on my son's Wii through the gamma channel and he doesn't have an SD card yet either. I did the TPH on all 3 of them (Thanks again Moe!) I'm thinking I must have loaded something wrong on my mom's. I had her try a different game and she got the same black screen. I guess that gives me a reason to finally get her SD card copied and take it over there and reload things

great job buddy , in some cases running the install from the internet is better cause our servers always updated with the latest needed files , and the new BMInstallerv3 will solve the issue , and it's almost ready just final touches before the New Year Eve release

sorry my dear for a late answer but I was suppose to get my phone today cause they don't have it in any local t-mobile store for some reason ( nokia n95 ) and they promised a loaner by tomorrow

, so I have to wait , now for your dear moms Wii the SD Card is not needed to run the Gamma from the Channel but it's needed to run the Gamma from HBC so if it doesn't work try to reinstall Cios for Gamma and it will be even better to install Ios36 Rev7 from my buddy Waninkoko that should do the trick

there is a forsaekn autoboot Channel provided with BMInstallerV2 and you can install it via the Wad Manager v1.3 from the HBC and while you at it you can uninstall the backup loader channel just be sure to have it's wad in the wad folder on your SD Card , and you should be set
