Hello fellow tempers I recently started collecting open source handhelds and clone handhelds the only problem is I that I don't know how to find them do you have recommendations if so what are they ?

As of about 3 years ago recommendations from me are going to come few and far between- for many years there were things like gamepark/GP32 (the story of what went there is as storied as anything else in the electronics world all ending in a massive implosion) where today the PSP, Android and hacked idevices have largely taken care of most things. I am certainly interested in this newest wave though and the dingoo side of things is quite interested to have a look through.
Clones themselves.... assuming you are not dropping down to game and watch clone level ( http://www.youtube.com/user/ashens does a fair line in most of those and the king of the hill there is probably -http://rekkerd.org/img/articles/mr_9999_brick_game_9999_in_1.jpg ) pickings are quite slim and only get slimmer if you want anything resembling quality. The K101 was hardly the first GBA clone but it was one of the first to do it right, that said the earlier ones were probably slightly better than the ISMM/DSTwo GBA emulators so you might get something out of those.
Pushing a bit further you might get something out of the JME handheld/phone stuff- if you remember pre "app" games that were not snake or solitaire and usually sold by ringtone companies you have the idea. Basically mobile phones that did such things were huge in China so some of the leaked sideways into games type affairs and made it outside China.
What I have not already named you can do as well as I in browsing through the likes of dealextreme, hopebuy.com, http://www.ownta.com/ and (if you are feeling brave) alibaba. I did have a far longer list but it seems most of my older sources have dried up or changed in the last couple of years.
If you widened your remit to include some of the clone consoles we might have some more to talk about- much of the NES through 16 bit era stuff has been cloned and cloned quite well. These days the Atari/Commodore 64 (not sure what goes in the Amiga world these days) stuff finds itself in big shops and advertised on TV around here. Speak to some of our members that do not come from Japan, Australia, USA, Canada or the usual suspects in Europe and you will probably find they have rarely seen the originals and far more commonly see clone hardware for consoles of that vintage (NES and genesis/megadrive especially).
Much of the interesting work is in flash carts, clone games (reproductions or ROM hacks taken to actual hardware) and replacement parts.

Thanks but I already own the Revo K101.I wish they would release the blue Revo K101 or a dark or light blue decal.
