Any advice on extracting an official game package without access to a modded PS4? I'm trying to datamine a free demo for a game that isn't out yet and I've managed to rip my own JSON and acquire the package from PSN but obviously without the passcode, neither orbis-pub-chk or any of the open source package managers can extract anything besides the SFO and minor stuff. If I had access to a modded PS4 would I be able to extract the data or repack it? I don't have the means to acquire one unfortunately so I'm probably SOL unless someone else capable is willing to repack CUSA14562/CUSA14563, if that's even possible.

Hi im using PS4PKGViewer By LMAN version 1.2 the readme says the following:
"
-View package contents.
-Search package contents.
-Check for package updates.
-Check the integrity of package.
-Export all unencrypted contents.

It can extract the PS2 iso with this from the PKG should u ever need it to play ur PS2 ISO on a PC...

How are fpkgs created then? That data has to come from somewhere.

Dumped directly from a PS4 either from Discs or Digital. Game is mounted/decrypted when you run the game.... When you try to install a retail pkg on ps4 without a proper license, is it locked, so cannot be run/mounted or decrypted.. i hope this clarifies your question...

I will break it down:

On 4.05/4.55/4.74/5.01/5.05 you have a kernel exploit.

On those firmwares you can dump games (decrypted).

You then use those files to repack and fake sign a pkg using orbis-pub-gen.

To unpack and repack a higher firmware requiring game (decrypting and fake signing in the process), you would need a kernel exploit for the higher firmware.

When we have a public 5.5X-6.XX exploit you will see higher games than 5.05 requiring, dumped and fake packaged.

Until then the odds for guessing the pkg passcode is: 64^32 *32 possibilities.

you don't need to load contents. just choose this option:

I just used or is PkgEditor from OpenOrbis Toolchain and it worked perfectly. I think that one I have to compile it or something?

never heard of it. if you need to compile it, you may need an sdk of some sort.
I successfully extracted the .psarc inside the .PKG but when I try to open it it gives me an error in the total commander :/ the file total size is 20gb btw, it was very well compressed inside the PKG xd

A psarc is a file with lots of files inside (like an exe). I don't know if you can extract a ps4 one. There are tools to do it on the ps3.
