Hacking How to extract game pkg on PC?

Well I'm sure we can open them. if we can open the psvita ones why not the ps4 ones? I'm trying to do a asset swap from a ps4 to a psvita but If I can't solve how to open then ps4 psarc I'm done hahaha

I don't remember the name of the program. A psarc is not encrypted, so yeah it's probably possible.

I'm using Total commander with he psarc plugin. I opened the psarc from the vita without problems, but the ps4 one it's giving trouble, darn it.

I don't remember. However, you may not have to put the files back in the psarc. The psarc has a directory listing as if they weren't in a file. We had to do this when one of the uncharted games had a corrupted file in its psarc.

Yes I did. Total commander with .psarc plugin is what people use to do this.

@Nightwinter what games are you modding?
Normally you need to dump the assets decrypted first, then use tools to extract.

I've only done it on the ps3. duplex supplied a bad dump of one of the uncharted games, so extracting the psarc was their solution instead of reuploading the game.

I think it creates an xml file with the directory listing. I remember that with the last of us. that's why I couldn't repack a psarc from a dump I found. it was missing the xml. almost every dump of that game is extracted or bad in some form, so I used three dumps of the game to make a working dump. I think that's one of the games that was resigned for lower firmware, so I modified the param.sfo and merged the dumps together. it checks out 100% (minus update) with the ird as an iso.

I just used Noesis to extract the ps4 .psarc contents!! It worked like a charm :3

glad you found something that works. it reminds me of when I was trying to extract a psarc.edat on the ps3 for someone. most apps will not decrypt the contents of an edat if it's over 2GBs, so I found an app that would, make-npdata. that was for sly4. then, it was just a matter of extracting the psarc, which I assume the guy knew how to do.

Hi, i try to unpack a FPKG to rip it, using "PS4 PKG Viewer", with "new games", games in 6.72 or higer but i cant do it, i get an error like pkg unsuported, u need a newer version. (I see latest version its from 2018, v1.5)

Do u know any other tool to do it in windows? not using PS4 to decrypt it.

TY for ur preply, but i have tried "fake pgk tools" too and i have the same problem,
It just works in old FPKGs, i supose FPKGs previous to 6.72, version even older.
