ROM Hack How to edit cheats?

This might be a nooby question, but how do you edit the cheats used for a game?
I'm using an R4DS and YSMenu.

Also, where is the cheats database downloaded?

Use r4cce, just google it as yasu doesn't like people direct-linking to his things...should be first link.

There are probably some tuts around here so just go look there if you need help.
