OK some of you people actually should be ashamed. Great companies and individuals are making huge amount of work and giving it free so they can cover their costs with ads. Like Cartmanuk said in second post if you really like some software and dislike ads that much just buy full/pro/whatevertheycallit version. Google has actually made license that if app has too many and disturbing ads it may get removed from Play so ads shouldn't be much problem, right? Also I bought many pro versions and most of them are around 1 fucking euro including Apex launcher, Amazing Alex and even GTA 3 has been under euro for several times!

Rooting is OK even that manufacturers and providers seem to dislike it (maybe becouse you can run more advanced programs and customization which isn't good for basic user). It may actually be security thread but if you don't install APK files ouside Google Play and/or trusted source and have superuser app to promp when using root you should be fine. If you are afraid just install some anti virus bloatware and you are safe'rrrr.
Actually it's thread to install APK from random site even without root so if I were AlanJohn I would double check every installed software what permissions they actually have before some russian knows your mamas phone number.

Got little offtopic but:
If you really really really want to get rid of ads of everywhere then there is better solution than using airplane mode which shuts off every wireless technology on phone. It's called AdFree Android and it just redirects all known adsites requests to localhost which then returns nothing = no ads displayed.
https://play.google.....android.adfree
AAAAND it needs ROOT access :P

Should be ashamed? How old are you?

No need to blast him for trying to be moral. He made his point clear, blocking ads stops developers from getting their money. If you don't care, then don't. No need to insult him because he brought up a legitimate point.

He even went ahead and gave the preferred ad-blocking method I use, Adfree Android. (I actually use ROM Toolbox now, which replaces, Adfree Android, Titanium Backup, and many other root access apps)

No need to blast him
He started it, check his wording. :P

you do know this is the temp right? where we have backup loaders and flashcards? O.o

like we give a flying f*ck about piracy... xd
Well I'm not sure what would be more appropriate word becouse my english lacks a bit. But think about it: Backup loaders and flashcards are used to your own backed up games and/or undubs/translations/hacks and even if you do use it to load warez games you most likely play bigger companies 40-60e games which is pretty much money for some people. That's wrong too, but when talking about tiny indie devs 0.99e game which has optional free version with ads and then wanting to get rid of even those we are talking whole new low level here. Why do you think there are 1e limit for steam keys in humble bundle nowdays?
Only game I have warez to my phone is Crystal Defenders becouse it cost 7e at that time and was bad port from iOS with limited gameplay! Even now iOS has already v3 and android is still same old v1. Fuck you square enix!

This is just my opinion to the matter and already gave decent solution for those who want to disable ads in previous post.

the $1 in the HiB was because people were abusing it by reselling them for alot more money for profit (usually 300% of the original cost) after the sale ended, they were buying hundreds and hundreds of codes for $0.01 each, it was nice while it lasted anyway
