How to change default boot app on XBOX Original?

Hi,

I just switched on my old xbox 1 with a mod chip (evox?). I installed the latest version of XBMC and it works well. But how do I boot directly into XBMC? Any idea? The evo.ini file does nothing. I attached a screenshot of the folder structure. Any help would be appreciated =) I can make more screenshots and videos if this is needed.

First of all, make sure you have a backup of your bios (may not be necessary, but just to be safe) and your HDD.

In the past I've only used the Ndure softmod which did allow me to add XBMC as an 'alt boot' using the DVD drive eject button but I don't know the method you used to hack the system.

In theory you could just replace the evox dashboard with the XBMC dashboard, but I wouldn't recommend it (ESPECIALLY without a backup) and your options depend on the hack you used.

One option may be to edit the menu to add XBMC to the top of the list:

Also, check to see if you need to remove the 'super cap', AFAIK only the 1.6 is 'safe'.
