Hello I have been out of the loop since 2016, my last thread.
I have got back into playing my 360 with xkey, is like to backup some games to my hard drive. What is the easiest way to do so?

Pretty sure I have a special drive and a USB pro v1 and v2 but that’s as far as I got.

If someone takes the time to reply to this thread it would be much appreciated.
Thanks Zac

I got my XBC to work on my last laptop but unfortunately the fan died and now I am trying to get it to work on another laptop using windows 7 64bit os but it didn't work right 98 percent of the time (took me all day just to get 3 games to rip), so I downloaded a newer version 2.9.0.425 and still no dice (it didn't have the extra stuff in folder and I read it. I rebooted and made sure driver signature enforcement was disabled. My jungle flasher works perfectly. I put the ocx file in system 32 and 64 and authorized it but either way didn't work. Any suggestions?

I guess, even though I read dae.bin file isn’t necessary, I need to find the dae file. I looked in xbins but couldn’t get it to download. I downloaded the updated xbc version from there though.

are you trying to make an iso or a jailbreak, folder rip? you can do the latter in fsd or aurora.

Ah, just trying to rip games to iso for xkey. Funny thing it that it’s working now. Maybe there was a glitch with the permissions. I went into settings and disabled the permissions at start up and it worked fine. Yesterday it was hit or miss.

dunno. I've never used xkey or tried to rip a disc into an iso. I had one flashed drive, then after that it was jtags. I owned a few disc games, but sold them. I have a ton of burns atm for the 360, ps2, and the wii (wiikey). the 360 in question (a xenon) died, the first ps2's modchip failed, and I'm not sure about the wii. it still works, just not sure about the wiikey. there was a game on the wii that only a modchip could run, at least at first, not sure about now. I think it was called we dare. a pretty shitty game that I did burn for that reason.

If I had it to do again I would have done rgh for sure. How much is a ton? I was aiming for the everything made mark but I have about 200. I guess it’s just something to do because how many games can you really play.

probably around that. I guess it's not so much game playing but collecting. you burn games or download them, even shitty ones, because you can, not necessarily because you plan to play them.

 Yeah, I ripped all those games for my son to play and now he just wants to play xbox 1 all the time.

Yep, I guess I am not the only one.

I don't own one of those, but I like the bc thing with the series x. I'd probably buy that over the ps5, but in reality I might just stay with the switch. it's hard to keep tabs on more than one system especially if you're legit like me. first system I've been legit on since like ps1.

Bloody hell. It’s doing the same thing all over again. I ripped one game no problem and now program won’t even open as if. [emoji30]

might have to wait until @DinohScene wakes up. I'm not sure where he's located in Europe, but it's like 6 in the morning in England. I have no experience ripping discs into iso with the actual drive. I don't know if that method even existed when I flashed the drive. it was just download, burn for me.

I think you used to have to flash special firmware to a certain make/model of drive on the pc to rip 360 discs, so using the actual drive must be newer than that.

I think it is within the permissions. I just rebooted and it is allowing me to rip again. I am using a liteon 360 drive with the 360 usb pro v2. It's working. I probably need to find another way to override the permissions on this laptop. I did it on windows 10 and ripped my whole collection of over 50 games.

a laptop might not be ideal. I used a desktop when I flashed the drive. I actually still own that desktop. it still works except it can't connect to the internet anymore. I don't know if a laptop is good to use now or not. I know most early things with the 360 were best done with a desktop.

The laptop is wonky. It, all of a sudden, just started to work right and I have been ripping games all day long. I had no issues whatsoever with my other laptop. My PC, running XP, is so god awful slow to transfer files that I could use it but it would take a whole day to transfer to hdd. lol

It was a bit wonky for me as well when flashing the drive. Jungle flasher only recognized 2 sata connections out of 4.

Has anyone successfully used a hitachi GDR-3120L drive to rip games?
I got all of my games ripped finally. Once it worked, it worked without issue.
